ARNOLD G. HIMEBAUCH

 

Easter Lily      Arnold G. ‘Arnie’ Himebauch, 86, Town of Waterford, died April 14, 2014, on his family farm. He was born on the farm Aug. 27, 1927, to the late Delbert and Martha (Walbreck) Himebauch.

He married Julie A. Mehring on April 17, 1948, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Waterford. They raised four children and Arnie was a self-employed farmer all of his life. His love of farming always showed by the excellent crops he grew and harvested. He took great pride in keeping his farm picture perfect. He enjoyed restoring International Harvester antique tractors and mowing his lawn.

Survivors include his loving wife of almost 66 years: children, Shirley (Dave) Baumeister, Kathy (Greg) Foat, Greg (LuAnn), Dale (Kathy); grandchildren, Bart Baumeister, Bridget (Craig) Stillman, Casey (Eric) Dietz, Cory and Garrett Foat, Shawn (Angie) Himebauch, Jami (Brad) Pieniazek, Tracie and Ben Himebauch, Kellyn and Ryan Himebauch; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert; sister-in-law, Gert Himebauch; other relatives and friends.

He was further preceded in death by his sisters, Mildred and Beulah; brothers, Ben, Donald, Russell and Duane.

A memorial gathering is Friday, April 18, from 4:30-6:30 p.m., at Mealy Funeral Home. 225 W. Main St., Waterford. The Rev. Gene Doda will officiate starting at 7 p.m. In Lieu of flowers memorials to St. Thomas Church are suggested.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the Waterford Rescue Squad, the Town of Waterford Police and Racine County Sheriff for their quick response and care and compassion for our dear Arnie.
