City police find goat in city

The City of Burlington had an unexpected visitor early Thursday morning.

Police received the visitor – a goat – into the police lobby around 1:20 a.m. The goat had been found standing in the street in front of Burlington Public Library.

The goat was picked up by its owner around 1:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon. The goat had apparently had gotten loose and wandered in from Bushnell Road sometime late Wednesday or early Thursday.

The goat was unharmed by its journey.
