RICHARD M. CZARNY

Easter Lily  Richard Mark Czarny, 43, Las Vegas, formerly Burlington, died in Las Vegas July 9, 2014, following surgery complications.

He was born Jan. 2, 1971, to Rose and Alfred Czarny. He was the first baby born in Burlington that year. A graduate of Burlington High School and UW–River Falls, Rich was a TV network engineer at KLAS Channel 8 in Las Vegas for 17 years until his death.

Survivors include his parents; sister, Karen; brothers, John (Catherine) and Ken; nephew, Ryan; and niece, goddaughter, Rachel; his fiancée, Lora Caindec; stepchildren, Brandon Carroll and Weston, Chase, and Lila Caindec; special sister, Jolly Waukau; cousin, Theresa Holden; many extended family members and friends.

Taken from us way too early, Richard will live forever in our hearts.

In addition to the celebration of his life in Las Vegas on July 12 that 200 attended, a memorial Mass will be held Saturday, Aug. 9, at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 6400 Spring St., Racine, 11 a.m. Visitation with the family begins at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.

  1. Richard’s brother John was a childhood friend of mine and his family were neighbors. My thoughts and prayers and condolences go to his family and friends.
