In a media release issued Aug. 11, the Racine Sheriff’s Office announced it has learned of a possible child enticement occurring in the Village of Waterford.
The incident occurred about 5 p.m., Aug. 7, and involved two 14-year-olds who were approached by a white male who asked them if they would like to see the inside of his vehicle. The incident occurred near the intersection of Main and Jefferson streets in the Village of Waterford. Public notice was made by the Sheriff’s Office once investigators were able to establish credible descriptors as a result of the ongoing investigation, explained Lt .Daniel Adams of the Criminal Investigations Bureau.
According to the release, through the course of the ongoing investigation, Sheriff’s investigators have determined that the suspect is a middle-aged unshaven white male. Additionally, the suspect is believed to have been wearing a red ball cap and a blue shirt at the time of the incident.
Investigators also believe the suspect was possibly operating a newer white work van with red lettering on the side that possibly spells “build”.
Sheriff’s Office investigators are actively working to identify the person involved in this incident and are seeking the community’s help. Anyone with any information as to the possible identity of the suspect is encouraged to contact Racine Sheriff investigators at (262) 636-3225.
