MARSHALL SMITH

Easter Lily      Marshall Smith, 85, Weyerhaeuser, died Sept. 7, 2014, after a short illness.

He was a longtime former resident of Burlington who served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Alaska. After discharge he worked at American Motors and Foster Forbes Glass Co. He was an avid hunter and sportsman who loved the outdoors.

Marshall’s best-loved hobby was swimming. He also had a strong attachment to family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Rose; siblings, Jelaine Gruber, Burlington, Gary (Joan) Smith, Eau Claire, Niles Smith, St. Paul, Minn., and Terry Smith, Dallas, Wis.; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

A memorial service is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 11, at 2 p.m., at Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Home, 331 Dallas St. West, Dallas, Wis. Family and friends may visit with the family from 1 p.m., until the time of service at the funeral home.
