JOSEPH J. WARREN

Easter Lily      Joseph J. Warren, 68, Burlington, died Sept. 10, 2014, at his home.

He was born July 12, 1946, in Burlington, to the late Arthur and Cathyrn (Fix) Warren. He was a Burlington resident his entire life graduating from Burlington High School.

He served in the U.S. Army from April 1968 to November 1969 in Vietnam being honorably discharged as a Corporal.

On Oct. 27, 1973, he married Lu Ann E. Weis. Together they raised two children.

He worked at Nestles’ for 41 years as a machinist. He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. He truly enjoyed his years of retirement, liked going to see muscle cars although he favored his own Chevelle. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and grand puppy, Madison.

Survivors include his wife; children, Michelle (Mike) Johnston and Ryan Warren; grandchildren, Joshua Johnston and Tate Johnston; his sister, Shirley Tenwinkel; brother, Donnie Warren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Daniel (Judy) Weis, Roger (Kay) Weis, Russell (Deb) Weis and Peg (Paul) Daniels; and nieces and nephews.

He was further preceded in death by his infant sister; brothers-in-law, Bernard Tenwinkel and Clayton Weis; mother and father-in-law, Francis and Lunetta Weis.

Memorials are suggested for St. Charles Church, Disabled American Vets, or the ALS of Wisconsin.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Sept. 13, at St. Charles Church at 10 a.m. Inurnment will follow in St. Charles Cemetery. In keeping with Joe’s wishes no visitation will take place prior to the service. A celebration of life will take place after the funeral Mass at Waterfront Restaurant. Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory, Burlington, is serving the family.
