HAROLD E. HUGUNIN

Easter Lily      Harold E. Hugunin, 89, Lyons, died Sept. 14, 2014, at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center Elkhorn. He was born March 15, 1925, to the late John C. and Catherine C. (Henningfeld) Hugunin.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He married the former Margery Marie Leonard on Nov. 19, 1949, in Caledonia. She died April 21, 1976. He drove a milk truck and was a lab technician for AMPI for over 25 years retiring in 1989. He enjoyed boating and fishing, and was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church of Lyons. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his children, Mary (Carl) Roeker, East Troy, John (Kristi) Hugunin, Judy (Mike) O’Donell, both Elkhorn; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; special companion, Jeanette Gross, Lyons.

He was further preceded in death by his daughter, Kaye Schmidt; grandson, Adam Michael O’Donell; brother, Robert Hugunin; sisters, Dorothy Kruckman and Mildred Corbett.

Memorial service is Wednesday, Sept. 17, at 6 p.m., at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory, 730 N. Wisconsin St., Elkhorn, with Father Oriol Regales officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Elkhorn. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 p.m., until time of service.

Memorials may be made in Harold’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
