DANIEL R. BEECHER

Easter Lily      Daniel R. Beecher, 65, Burlington, died Sept. 14, 2014, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Burlington on Nov. 11, 1948, to the late James E. and Ann (Robers) Beecher. He spent his early life in Kansasville, attended Kansasville Graded School and graduated from Burlington High School. He also attended Milwaukee Area Technical College.

On Dec. 30, 1988, at Cross Lutheran Church, Burlington, he married Beverly Stratton. Following marriage they made their home in Burlington where they raised their family.

He was the owner of Plaza Barber Shop in Racine where over the years he acquired generations of dear customers. He was an avid ‘car guy’ with a gift of knowing how things worked. He had countless close friends and one of his greatest gifts was his humble way of helping people. He felt this was what he was meant to do and helped anyone, in any way he could. He had an incredible sense of humor and enjoyed life, especially his large adoring family who can’t imagine life without him.

Survivors include his wife; children, Amy (Quinn) Obermeyer, Kara (Dan) Bulgrin, Daniel (Amanda) Beecher, Linda (Paul) Canade, Pamela Mather, Theresa Buehler and Jessica (Ravi) Reddy; grandchildren, Calvin and Chloe Obermeyer, Jacob, Mason and Logan Bulgrin, Naomi, Danika, Bentley and Paxton Beecher, Jade Mather, Cole and Maya Weinkauf and Priyanka Reddy; siblings, Ken Beecher, Sandra (Cliff) Oberg and Julie (Rick) Niche; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

He was further preceded in death by his in-laws, Art and Lois Stratton; brother-in-law, Phil Quirk; and sister-in-law, Susan Beecher.

Memorials would be appreciated to: Bladder Cancer Association, Froedtert Cancer Center or Heartland Hospice.

The family would like to thank Dr. Ben George and his staff at Froedtert Cancer Center and Heartland Hospice for all their care and compassion during Dan’s illness.

Services are Thursday, Sept. 18, at 7 p.m., at Cross Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Carolyn Sellers officiating. Visitation is at the church on Thursday, from 2 to 6:30 p.m. Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory, Burlington, is serving the family.
