John G. Tietel, 66, Burlington, died Sept. 24, 2014, at Aurora Memorial Hospital of Burlington. He was born Aug. 8, 1948, to Gilbert and Violet (Packard) Tietel in Burlington. He was a lifetime resident of Burlington.
He worked for the family business and drove the tow truck for many years. For the past 12 years he worked with and was Kyle’s wingman doing asphalt repairs. Working with Kyle, one thing was for sure, John would never miss lunch.
Survivors include his daughter, Naomi Tucker; grandchildren, Ethan Parker and Andrew Tucker; his mother; siblings, Lyle, and Jean (Richard) Gruenert; close family friends, Kyle and Marnie Ide along with their children, Bryce, Halle, Cammie, Cash and Keely Ide; and many close friends.
In lieu of flowers the family has suggested memorials be made to Aurora VNA Hospice.
A visitation for family and friends is Tuesday, Sept. 30, from 4-7 p.m., at Schuette-Daniels Family Funeral Home, 625 S. Browns Lake Drive, Burlington.
