Lois M. Beix, 91, Burlington, died Oct. 8, 2014, at Lakeland Health Care Center, Elkhorn.
She was born in Chetek on Dec. 13, 1922, to the late Clarance and Velma (Worden) Ling. She spent her early life in Chetek where she graduated from high school.
On Oct. 6, 1945, she married Louis Beix at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Burlington. Following marriage they made their home in Burlington where they raised their family. He preceded her in death on July 10, 1975.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading and fostering children.
Survivors include her children, Paul (Kay) Beix, Steve (Julie) Beix, Brian (Bonnie) Beix; grandchildren, Kim Williams, Chris (Christie) Williams, Debra (Rob) Simons, James Beix, Paula (Kevin) Reinholtz, Noah (Lesley) Swanson, Angie (Jamie) Aide; 11 great-grandchildren; her brother, Clarance ‘Tommy’ (Lorraine) Ling.
She was further preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara (Fred) Williams; sisters, Jessie (Duane) North and Alice (Everett) Burns; brothers, Charles (Marion) Ling and Harold (Bea) Ling.
Memorials are suggested to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or Lakeland Health Care Center.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Oct. 17, at 11 a.m., at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Yamid Blanco officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday, Oct. 16, from 4-7 p.m., at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, 625 S. Browns Lake Drive, Burlington.
