Patrick D. ‘Pete’ Delaney, 50, Burlington, died Oct. 11, 2014, at East Troy Manor, after a courageous two-year battle.
He was born in Burlington on July 15, 1964, to William ‘Pat’ and Jane (Pekel) Delaney. He was a lifelong resident of Burlington, attended St. Mary’s Grade School and graduated from St. Mary’s High School.
He worked at Grove Gear for 25 years and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He enjoyed golfing, gambling (especially his trips to Las Vegas), NASCAR, football, baseball, playing cards and spending time with his friends and family.
Survived by his mother, Burlington; sister, Pamela Delaney; aunts; uncles; cousins; friends and his special Aunt Jeanne ‘Maude’ Hoppe.
He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents and an aunt and uncles.
The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers and East Troy Manor for all their love and support during this time.
Services for Pete are Tuesday, Oct. 14, at 7 p.m., at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, 625 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington, with the Rev. Yamid Blanco officiating. Visitation is at the funeral home Oct. 14, from 4-7 p.m. Burial is Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
