MIOLA E. SOLBERG

Easter Lily      Miola E. Solberg, 95, Burlington, died Oct. 18, 2014, at Pine Brook Pointe.

She was born in Burlington on March 18, 1919, to the late Charles and Laura (Thiede) Wortman. She was a lifetime resident of Burlington where she received her education.

On March 1, 1946, she married Lawrence E. Solberg. They lived in Burlington where they raised their family. He preceded her in death on Dec. 31, 1989.

She worked as a floor supervisor at Troy Plastics, was a member of Cross Lutheran Church, enjoyed playing bingo and was the best cook around.

Survivors include her daughters, Pamela (Fred) Sieker, New York, Charlene Solberg, Wisconsin, and Denise (Daniel) Kretschmer, Illinois; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was further preceded in death by her son, Neal Solberg and 11 siblings.

The family would like to thank the staff at Pine Brook Pointe for the wonderful care they provided.

Services are Thursday, Oct. 23, at 11 a.m., at Cross Lutheran Church with the Rev. Carolyn Sellers presiding. Burial will follow in Burlington Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday, Oct. 22, from 5-7 p.m., at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, 625 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington, and again on Thursday, Oct. 23, at Cross Lutheran Church from 10-10:45 a.m. Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory is serving the family.
