Two Burlington men injured in single-vehicle crash

Speed appears to be a factor in a single-vehicle crash that injured two men from Burlington early Wednesday morning, according to the Racine County Sheriff’s Office.

The passenger, 29, was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extricated by fire and rescue personnel, according to a Sheriff’s Office press release. He was transported to Aurora Memorial Hospital of Burlington for treatment and later transferred by Flight for Life helicopter to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa.

The extent of his injuries was not available.

The driver, also 29, was taken to Memorial Hospital and is being treated for a hip injury, the release said.

The crash remains under investigation.
