ROBERT F. ANDERSEN

Easter Lily      Robert F. Andersen, 77, Burlington, died peacefully Oct. 30, 2014, at his home on with his loving family at his side.

He was born in Milwaukee on Oct. 23, 1937, to the late Robert L. and Hildagard (Baker) Andersen. He spent his early life in Racine where he graduated from Washington Park High School in 1955. He graduated from UW–Madison in 1965 with a Bachelor of Business Administration and in 1967 with a Master of Science in Mathematics. He also graduated from Purdue University in 1978 with a Master of Science in Computer Science, all with honors.

He served in the 3rd Armored Division of the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957.

On Oct. 3, 1959, he married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Jean Stretti. They resided in Burlington since 2000.

He was in Information Technology with Baxter Laboratory. He enjoyed working on his computer and loved science and history.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years; daughter, Karen (Dean) Andreakis; son, Robert Andersen; grandchildren, Grace, Grant and Gabrielle Andreakis and his beloved golden retriever, Andy.

In lieu of flowers memorials to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Aurora VNA Hospice for their care and compassion during this time.

Services for Bob will be held on Sunday, Nov. 16, at 3 p.m., at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, 625 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington. Visitation is at the funeral home on Nov. 16, from noon until the time of the service. His wishes were to donate his body for advancements in medical research. Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory, Burlington, is serving the family.
