JAMES W. FLYNN

Easter Lily      James W. Flynn, 91, Waterford, died Nov. 5, 2014, at Linden Grove, Mukwonago.

He was born in Lexington, Ky., on Feb. 14, 1923, to the late Willie and Sallie (Smith) Flynn. He spent his early life in Lexington where he graduated from Lafayette High School.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1942 to 1946 in the South Pacific with Anti-Aircraft Radar 7th Battalion.

In 1945 he married Delores Pauline Galkowski. She preceded him in death on June 19, 2001. On April 6, 2002, he married Katherine Jean Terwilliger. Kate preceded him in death on May 20, 2014. They made their home in Burlington before moving to Waterford Senior Living.

He was the vice president of Merchandise for Trac/Ace Hardware Incorporated. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and the Marine Corps League in Burlington.

Survivors include his daughter, Shirley (Norm) Richter; son, Steven (Kim) Flynn; grandchildren, Bradley (Karmin) Richter, Megan Richter, Kyle (Allison) Richter, Colette (Travis) Heiser, Gina Flynn and Justin Flynn; great-grandchildren, Colin Richter, Aspen Richter, Leila Richter; stepchildren, Linda K. (Terry) Yanny and family, Leslie P. (Wendy) Barnard and family and Lyann M. (Thomas) Jung along with other relatives and friends.

He was further preceded in death by his siblings.

Memorials for James may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the special staff and care givers at Waterford Senior Living.

A memorial service is Friday, Nov. 28, at 3 p.m., at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Burlington. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Nov. 28, from 2-2:50 p.m. at the church. A private burial will be held at a later date. Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory, Burlington, is serving the family.
