Food drive for Helping Hands Pantry Dec. 1-31

Riverside Chiropractic Wellness Center, Waterford, asks its patients, family, friends and community members to participate in a food drive for the Helping Hands Food Bank at Norway Lutheran Church in Wind Lake.

The food drive begins Monday, Dec. 1. Donations will be accepted through Wednesday, Dec. 31. All items can be brought to Riverside Chiropractic Wellness Center, 301 E. Main St., Waterford.

Helping Hands Food Bank is in need of canned vegetables/fruits/pasta/soup/meats, cereal, peanut butter, pasta, spaghetti sauce, pancake mix, baking goods and boxed items such as Jello/pudding mixes, Hamburger Helper, Ramen, macaroni and cheese and rice.

Besides non-perishable food, the pantry is in need of toilet paper, paper towels and tissues, grooming items, dish/laundry/bar soaps, shampoo and conditioner, deodorant and toothpaste.

“Each year we try to support a different organization or food bank during the holiday season,” said Dr. Jenny Geiger of Riverside Chiropractic Wellness Center, in a media release. “We believe in giving back to our community so we are asking everyone to join us in making this food drive for the Helping Hands Food Bank a great success.”

Riverside Chiropractic Wellness Center will celebrate 15 years of service to the Waterford community on Jan. 22, 2015. The Center is owned by Dr. Geiger, who is licensed in Wisconsin and who is a member of the International Chiropractic Association’s Pediatric Council as well as the Wisconsin Chiropractic Association.
