Waterford-area positions up for 2015 spring election on local school, municipal boards

The next regularly scheduled statewide election in Wisconsin is the Spring 2015 election, being held Tuesday, April 7, 2015.

A Spring primary, if needed, will be held Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2015.

      •The first day for candidates in municipal elections to circulate nomination papers was Dec. 1. Deadline to file nomination papers and other ballot access documents is 5 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015, at the candidate’s local clerk’s office.

Deadline for incumbents who are not seeking re-election to file a Notification of Non-Candidacy is Friday, Dec. 26.

      Residents seeking election to a local school board must file a Campaign Registration Statement and Sworn Declaration of Candidacy at their school board office, by mail or in person, by 5 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015.

Offices up for election

Following is information on local offices on the election ballot in Spring 2015.

• Village of Waterford. Board President Thomas Roanhouse and trustees Tom Christensen, Jerry Filut and Tamara Pollnow, two-year terms. Municipal Judge Gregory K. Miller, four-year term.

      • Village of Rochester. Board President Paul Beere and trustees Gary Beck, Ed Chart and Mike Weinkauf, two-year terms.

• Town of Norway. Board Chairman Jean Jacobson, Robert Helback (Supervisor No. 1), Mike Lyman (Supervisor No. 2), two-year terms.

Sanitary District Commissioner Norman L. Schultz, six-year term. Town Judge Douglas Pachucki, four-year term.

• Town of Waterford. Board Chairman Tom Hincz, supervisors Lisa Jeschke and Nick Draskovich, two-year terms.

Municipal Judge Jill Mitchell, four-year term.

Waterford Sanitary District No. 1 Commissioner Dan Dickinson, six-year term.

      • Waterford Union High School: Board members Don Engler and Kevin Malchine, three-year terms.

      •Waterford Graded School District: Board members Dan Jensen and Douglas Schwartz, three-year-terms; board member Grant Strobel, one-year term. Strobel was appointed to the board Nov. 20 due to the resignation of Robert Kastengren.

      • North Cape School: Board member Roger Blair, three-year term.

• Washington-Caldwell School District. Board members Todd Bluhm, Tim Szeklinski, three-year terms.

      • Drought Elementary School. Board members Lindsey Drought and Donald Walter, three-year terms.
