CONSTANCE KEYES

Easter Lily      Constance ‘Coni’ Keyes, 81, died Jan. 12, 2015, following a traffic accident in Kissimmee, Fla.

She was born on March 25, 1933, to Norbert and Marion (Gonnering) Sakowski. She married Robert R. Keyes on Nov. 3, 1951.

She will be best remembered as a bold and daring entrepreneur establishing Green Meadows Farm, Waterford, with her husband Bob in 1964, Brookshire, Texas, in 1983, Kissimmee in 1988, and Mulberry Lane Farm, Sherwood, in 2005. Many of her children carried with them her passion as she assisted them in establishing petting farms throughout the U.S.

Her love of travel took her to all seven continents. She loved spending time in her many gardens admiring the fruits of her labor. In her later years, as she finally found time to sit and relax, she discovered the joy of cross-stitching completing over 50 works of art. She had a great love for all animals, especially for her dogs that you’d find accompanying her on her golf cart as she roamed the grounds of her beloved farms.

Survivors include her husband, Robert R. Keyes; children, Bonnie (Dennis) Mealy, Wausau, Tim Keyes, Great Meadows, N.J., Dan Keyes, New Hyde Park, N.Y., Patrick (Bonnie) Keyes, Hilbert, Cindy Siemers, Burlington, Perry Keyes, Hancock, Charlie (Mavis) Keyes, Waterford, Ken (Gail) Keyes, Ijamsville, Md., Ted (Maria) Keyes, San Gabriel, Calif., Kitty Mack, Caballo, N.M., Karen Keyes, Franksville, Kris Keyes, Wauwatosa, Kelly (Carol) Keyes, Littleton, Colo.; 21 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services are Saturday, Jan. 17, at 11:30 a.m., at Fargo Funeral Home, 400 W. Wisconsin Ave., Kaukauna. Visitation is Saturday from 8:30 a.m., until time of services at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established, per her wishes, to create a memory garden and bench at Coni’s petting farms.
