LUCILLE B. MEYER

Easter Lily      Lucille B. ‘Snookie’ (Huening) Meyer, 84, Waterford, died peacefully with family by her side at Linden Grove, Mukwonago, on Jan. 19, 2015.

She was born in Chicago on April 7, 1930, to the late Richard and Margaret (Beck) Huening.

On June 6, 1957, she married Harold A. Meyer at St. Thomas Catholic Church. During her early life she worked at Wisconsin Electric in Milwaukee and also managed the bookkeeping for her husband Harold’s business and worked at Dick’s Market in Waterford. She was a lifelong member of St. Thomas Church, participating in Christian Woman. She loved her family and was a homemaker and devoted mother and grandmother. In her spare time enjoyed gardening, cooking and knitting.

Survivors include her daughter, Margaret ‘Marge’ Meyer and Marge’s daughters, Megan and Mikayla Hintz; brother, Richard ‘Dick’ (Marcia( Huening; Grandchildren, Hannah (Alexei) Strelchenko, Melissa (Jim Oleson) Kurer and Sarah Kurer; one great-granddaughter, Eva; son-in-law, Ron Kurer; brother-in-law, Gene Meyer; many nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.

She was further preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Mary Kurer; and grandson, Joshua Kurer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Jan. 24, at 11 a.m., at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 305 S. First St., Waterford. Visitation in church on Saturday is from 9-10:45 a.m. Burial is in the church cemetery following Mass. In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy her family suggests memorials to St. Thomas School. Mealy Funeral Home, Waterford, is serving the family.
