Man arrested for suspected sexual assault of girl, 15

A 52-year-old Town of Dover man is being held in the Racine County Jail on suspicion of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl.

The man, who is not named here pending formal charges, allegedly engaged in “inappropriate sexual activity” with the girl, according to a press release issued Friday by the Racine County Sheriff’s Department.

Sheriff’s officials said they were called to the Town of Dover on Thursday to investigate a sexual harassment complaint. Their investigation revealed suspicions of sexual assault, according to the release, and resulted in deputies executing a search warrant at the man’s home.

That search led to the arrest the man for alleged “numerous felony violations,” the press release said.

As of Friday afternoon charges had not been filed against the man by the district attorney’s office.

  1. The only time they do not release the persons name is when we really need to know for our children’s safety. Every drunk driving case we get the name. Every other small petty crime we get the name. THIS IS REDICULUS TO NOT RELEASE THE NAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Don’t release a name unless the person is charged with a crime…this man is/was being held under suspicion. Your drunk drivers and petty criminals were all charged when the story was published.
