PETER D. STAUFFACHER

Easter Lily      Peter D. Stauffacher, 34, of Bel Air, Md., formerly Burlington, died unexpectedly on Thursday, February 19, 2015.

He was born in Burlington on July 7, 1980, to David Stauffacher and Diane Stauffacher-Davis. He spent his early life in Burlington where he attended Burlington High School and then graduated from Messmer High School in Milwaukee. He also attended University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and Old Dominion University, Virginia.

He had lived in Maryland for the past six years where he worked at Macy’s Department Store. He was a member of Restore Church in Bel Air. He enjoyed playing sports in junior and senior high school, especially tennis and basketball. He loved animals and enjoyed any time he could spend with his dog, Buddy. He loved watching basketball and collecting baseball cards. He was an excellent writer and an outgoing, social person. He was very charismatic and always made friends wherever he went.

Survivors include his parents, David (Mary) Stauffacher and Diane Davis; daughter, Brynn Alayna, who he loved spending time with; sisters, Jessica (John) Hester and Regina (Shawn) Hollibush; nephews, Bladen and Barrett Hester; aunts; uncles; cousins; other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Peter and Rita Stauffacher and Walter and Bea Davis and his beloved four-legged friend, Buddy.

The family would like memorials to go to Countryside Humane Society, 2706 Chicory Road, Racine, WI 53403.

Services are Sunday, March 1, at 3 p.m., at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, 626 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington, with the Rev. Larry Williams officiating. Visitation is at the funeral home on Sunday, from 1-2:45 p.m. Burial will be in West Lawn Memorial Park at a later date.
