LORETTA M. KRIPLIN

Easter Lily      Loretta M. (Oven) Kriplin, 94, Tichigan, died March 20, 2015, at Ruth Hospice in West Allis. She was born in Duluth, Minn., on Aug. 3, 1920, to the late Fred and Mildred (Burgert) Oven. The family moved to Milwaukee where she graduated from Lincoln High School.

She married Louis W. Kriplin Sr., in 1951, and they lived on the family farm in Tichigan. For many years she was a machinist working for Amron Corp.

She was a member of the Tichigan Fire Company Auxiliary for over 50 years. She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and a member of the bowling league at Corky’s Wind Lake Bowl. She loved to attend rummage sales.

Survivors include her children, Skip (Cathy) Hall, West Allis, Louis W. Kriplin Jr., Tichigan Lake; grandchildren, Catherine Velaquez and Duane Hall; great-grandchildren, Emma Velaquez and Maddy Hall; brother-in-law, Bill Hildebrandt, Mequon; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

She was further preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and six sisters.

Services are Tuesday, March 24, at 5:30 p.m., at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 145 S. 6th St., Waterford. Visitation is prior to services in church on Tuesday from 4-5:15 p.m. Mealy Funeral Home, Waterford, is serving the family.
