Waterford Union High School is again hosting a Relay for Life event as has been done in years past. There are a few changes to the event this year, including the addition of the Bark for Life event on Sunday, April 19. (see related story). This is another way of raising money to donate to the American Cancer Society, but also helps provide for dogs with cancer.

Our main event, Relay for Life, will be held Friday, May 22, from 6 p.m. to midnight. We will be honoring and remembering those who have battled cancer. There will be different themed laps and many activities going on for the duration of Relay.

To help in our fundraising, Cousins Subs/Figaros Pizza in Waterford, and Buffalo Wild Wings in New Berlin, have kindly offered to donate a portion of their sales.

On Thursday, April 16, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. 20 percent of customers’ purchases at Cousins Subs/Figaros Pizza will go to Relay if the customer presents a Relay for Life flyer.

Flyers will be available to pick up at the Waterford Pick n Save on Saturday, April 11, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Buffalo Wild Wings has offered to donate 10 percent of customers purchase on Wednesday, April 29, if the customer mentions the American Cancer Society.

Both events will greatly help our cause and we encourage members of the community to help us in our donation to the American Cancer Society.

There are links on the Waterford High School home page to sign up for either Bark for Life or Relay for Life – or sign up for both! National Honor Society members of Waterford Union High School are very appreciative of all the support received from the community in making this event possible!
