Grandi unseats Hintz on City Council

In last week’s only contested City of Burlington race, newcomer Bob Grandi edged out incumbent Peter Hintz, 245 votes to 186.

In District 1, where John Ekes ran as a registered write-in to fill the spot left vacant by Bob Prailes, 44 write-in votes were cast. If, as presumed, the majority of those votes are for Ekes, he will earn the seat.

Jon Schultz (337 votes) and Todd Bauman (352 votes) ran uncontested for the aldermanic spots in districts 3 and 4, respectively.

County races

Jonathan Delagrave defeated David Charles Lecus in a rout for Racine County Executive, totaling 19,429 votes to Lecus’ 6,050.

For the two area contested circuit court races, David Paulson beat Tricia Hanson 14,160 to 13,089 in Branch 6, while Pat Torhorst downed Joseph Seifert in Branch 8, 16,386 to 8,455.

Town of Burlington

All races in the Town of Burlington were uncontested. Ralph Rice was re-elected Town Chairman with 771 votes, while Rick Isaacson totaled 739 votes for one supervisor position and Tyson Fettes 769 for the other supervisor spot.
