NORA E. WIEMER

Easter Lily      Nora E. Wiemer, 92, Burlington, died May 10, 2015, at her home.

She was born in Milwaukee on Sept. 23, 1922, to the late Otto and Emily (Knauer) Melcher. She spent her early life in Milwaukee where she graduated from high school. Following high school she attended Teacher’s College of Union Grove for two years. She then graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater with a Bachelor’s Degree before attending Cardinal Stritch where she received her Master’s Degree in special education.

On July 4, 1970, she married Clarence ‘Shine’ Wiemer at Cross Lutheran Church. Following marriage they made their home in Burlington.

She worked in various schools in different capacities throughout her career, including principal, retiring from Randall School after 25 years with that school. She was a member of Cross Lutheran Church, was a Lioness, was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Union Grove and was a member of the Wisconsin Educators Association.

She enjoyed cooking, baking and canning. She loved her children and grandchildren and always looked forward to time spent with them.

Survivors include her husband, Clarence; children, Larry John (Connie) Lossman, Sharyn Louise (nee Lossman) Lehrke; stepchildren, Douglas (Dianne) Wiemer, Michael (JoAnne) Wiemer; grandchildren, Louise (Michael) Paul, Thomas Lossman Jr., Alvin Lossman, Jessica (Todd) Hoffmann, John (Shelly) Lossman, Sarah Lossman, Justin (Katya) Lehrke, Michael Lehrke, Kyle Wiemer, Troy Wiemer; great-grandchildren, Kelly Jo Paul, Gavin Lossman, Oliver Lossman, Dylan Hoffmann, Kaitlyn Hoffmann, Phillip Lehrke, Logan Lossman, Taylor Lossman, Rebecca Lossman, Allison Lossman, Elizabeth Lossman, Parker Lossman.

She was further preceded in death by an infant sister, and a son, Thomas Carl Lossman.

The family would like to thank Jessica Hoffmann, Dianne Wiemer and all those who lovingly cared for her in her home.

Services are Thursday, May 14, at 1 p.m., at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, 625 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington. The Rev. Carolyn Sellers will officiate. Visitation is May 14, at the funeral home from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will follow the service at St. Thomas Cemetery.

The family would like memorials to go to Cross Lutheran Church.
