Dorothy M. (Lawrence) King, 72, died peacefully at her residence on May 16, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Sept. 11, 1942, to the late Bryant and Francis (Stensland) Lawrence, Superior.
She married William King Sept. 29, 2001. She worked at Edstrom Industries for over 16 years, enjoyed bingo, tending her flower garden, word puzzles and especially motorcycling and traveling.
Survivors include her loving husband; children, Roger (Jamie) Snyder, Brenda (Dave) Fraley, Daniel (Cyndee) Snyder; stepchildren, Joe (Tammy) King, Mark (Roxanne) King, Jamie Blakeney, and John King; grandchildren, Justin (Courtney) Gerth, Kevin (Kayla) Gerth, Taylor (Lauren) Gerth, Ariel Snyder, Noah (Amanda) Snyder, Brittney Zabler; stepgrandchildren, Joseph, James, Amanda, Jared (Eve), Logan, Jesse Leah, Christine, Mark Allen, Jake, and Julie King; and brother, Bryant Lawrence Jr. She will be especially missed by her faithful companions Baby Girl and Sugar Bear.
A memorial service is Friday, May 22, at 7 p.m., at Community United Methodist Church, 455 S. Jefferson St., Waterford. Family and friends may visit with the family from 4:30 p.m., until time of service.
A Committal Service will be held on Saturday, May 23, at Burlington Cemetery, Hwy. W, promptly at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the King family are suggested.
