Haley Lynam, a Racine native attending Marquette University, was named Miss Burlington Area ChocolateFest 2016 Saturday afternoon.

Lynam defeated a field of three other competitors, and earned a $500 scholarship for the victory. She also won the top interview and top talent awards for the pageant – a Miss Wisconsin preliminary. Lynam will have the opportunity to compete at Miss Wisconsin next June. The winner there will compete at Miss America.

Lynam’s community service platform is Autism Speaks, an organization that works with all autism patients. She played the violin for her talent presentation.

Miss Burlington Area ChocolateFest 2015, Alexandria Knight, previewed her wardrobe and talent for Miss Wisconsin. Miss BAC is a holdover pageant, which means the winner completes her year of community service before competing at Miss Wisconsin. Knight’s platform is childhood obesity prevention.
