Paul E. Tibbs, 83, died May 19, 2015. He was born Jan. 31, 1932.
He had a successful work career in the military and in government service. After many years of hard work, he was enjoying retirement, by traveling, relaxing, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his children, Deborah (Tibbs) McIlquham married to Mike, Kimberly Tibbs, and John Tibbs married to Christine; grandchildren, Matthew McIlquham, Charlotte Tibbs, and Sean Tibbs; his siblings Bill Tibbs married to Joan, David Tibbs married to Donnette, Karen (Tibbs) Heidbrink, and Jim Tibbs.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Bonnie Sue Tibbs, and his sister and brother-in-law, Joan (Tibbs) Cummings and Bill Cummings.
There will be a visitation at 10 a.m., on Saturday, May 30, for family and friends followed by a 10:30 a.m., Catholic Mass on May 30, at St. Peters Catholic Church, 711 S. 6th St., Petersberg, Ill., with the Rev. Thomas Holinga officiating. Immediately following the service he will be laid to rest at Oakland Cemetery, 19127 State Highway 123, Petersburg, Ill., of Menard County, Ill.
Family and friends are welcome to join the Tibbs Family for a luncheon back at The Knights of Columbus, Casey Hall.
