KATHLEEN M. TRIMBERGER

Easter Lily      Kathleen Mary Trimberger died June 20, 2015, at Hospice Alliance in Pleasant Prairie surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Jan. 20, 1942, in Burlington, to the late Emmett and Catherine (Whelan) Gorman.

She spent her early years in Kansasville and was a graduate of St. Mary High School, Burlington. She continued her education at Marquette University. She later returned to college and earned a BA from UW–Parkside in 1984.

On May 25, 1963, she married Philip H. Trimberger at St. Mary Parish Dover. They made their home in Kansasville. She worked at Holy Redeemer College in Waterford as a secretary and assistant registrar. She also taught classes at Gateway Technical College, MATC and Alverno College. Before her retirement in 1998 she was employed at Case Corp.

Over the years Kathleen served her community as a 4-H leader and clerk of the Kansasville School District. She served as a lector, Eucharistic minister and Parish Council member at St. Mary Parish.

She was an avid and prize-winning quilter and belonged to the First Friday Quilters of Racine. She loved to travel, read and spent many hours at auctions searching for additions to her antique collections. She especially enjoyed time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Philip of Kansasville; children, Ellen (Tony) Wiegert, DePere, Carolyn Trimberger, Burlington; Jane (Glenn) Kurylo, Bristol, Amy (Don) Bauer, Franklin, Jeffrey (Kristin) Trimberger, Racine; grandchildren, Michael (fiancée, Katie Voiles) Trimberger, Samantha Trimberger, Jessica Wiegert, Kyle Wiegert, Austin Kurylo, Kelsey Kurylo, Megan Bauer, Matthew Bauer, Mason Bauer; sister, Nancy Epping; sisters-in-law, Betty Gorman, Joyce Gorman, Rita Gorman, Annette Berndt, Edith Trimberger, Catherine (Richard) Schwochert, Marge (Michael) Allendar; brothers-in-law, William Trimberger, Jerome (Marilyn) Trimberger, Thomas (Kathleen) Trimberger, Dennis (Kathleen) Trimberger; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

She was further preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law, Lawrence and Amelia (Uhen) Trimberger; brothers, Robert Gorman, Thomas Gorman and Eugene Gorman; sister, JoAnne Straka; brothers-in-law, Merle Berndt, Ralph Epping, Frank Straka, Larry Trimberger; sister-in-law, Patricia (William) Zusan; nephews, Kevin Gorman and David Schwochert.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Hospice Alliance of Pleasant Prairie, Dr. Kamelle and Dr. Haider and all their staff for the exceptional care they provided.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, June 25, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Mary Church Dover with the Rev. Robert Kacalo presiding. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery-Dover. Visitation is Wednesday, June 24, from 4-7 p.m., at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory, 625 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington.
