JANE V. KITZROW

Easter Lily      Jane V. Kitzrow, 96, Town of Yorkville, died Aug. 14, 2015, at Arborview Communities, Burlington. She was born May 29, 1919, to the late Perry and Clara (Osenga) Vyvyan in Racine County. Her early life was spent in Yorkville where she graduated from Union Grove High School. Following high school, she attended and graduated from UW–Madison. She was a history teacher and taught in Pestigo and Beloit.

On April 20, 1946 she married the late William R. Kitzrow. He preceded her in death Sept. 20, 1991. They were lifetime residents of the Yorkville area.

She was employed by the Town of Yorkville for over 40 years as the town clerk. She was involved in various organizations, was a member of the Yorkville United Methodist Church, P.E.O. Sisterhood, Wisconsin Municipal Clerks and the International Institute of Clerks. She was very active in the Racine County Extension Homemakers.

Survivors include her son, William C. (Carol) Kitzrow; grandchildren, Bethany (Scott) Sorce and Willie Kitzrow; great-grandson, Lander Sorce; niece, Denise (Mark) Shaffer; nephew, Perry Moyle; great-nephew, Mack Shaffer; other relatives and friends.

She was further preceded in death by her sister Norma and a brother-in-law Mack Moyle.

The family has suggested memorials be made to the Yorkville United Methodist Church or the P.E.O. Sisterhood.

Jane’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff at Arborview Communities and the nurses at Allay Hospice for their care and compassion.

Funeral services are Tuesday, Aug. 18, at 2 p.m., at Yorkville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Sue Leih officiating. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Aug. 18, from noon to 1:45 p.m., at the church. Burial will follow in Yorkville Cemetery. Polnasek-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory, Union Grove, is serving the family.
