James William Gruenert, 72, died Sept. 18, 2015, at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was born on Aug. 15, 1943, to the late Rudolph and Elva Gruenert, in the family home in Washington township of Wisconsin. He attended Weston High School. After graduation he went on to serve in the National Guard. Later in his life he owned a cab company in Burlington.
Survivors include his siblings, Louise Klang, Lola Giebel, Fred (Lavonne) Gruenert, Richard (Jean) Gruenert, Bonnie (Lester) Small, Rita Zagroba, Michael (Diane) Gruenert; sister-in-law, Char Gruenert; nieces; nephews; cousins and friends.
He was further preceded in death by his siblings, Eileen Stewart and Roger Gruenert; brothers-in-law, Lawrence Stewart, Larry King, Fred Giebel, and Wally Zagroba.
At Jim’s request, no funeral or memorial service has been planned. In appreciation any memorials may be made to James Gruenert and sent to Integrity Funeral Services, 29134 Evergreen Drive Waterford, WI 53185 and they will be given to the family.
