Jeanne Ann O’Connell, 69, Rochester, died Oct. 2, 2015, in Wauwatosa. She was born March 24, 1946, in Burlington, to the late Raymond Seidel and Mary Ann (Luetten) Seidel. She spent her early life in Waterford, graduating from St. Thomas Grade School and Waterford High School then graduating from Alverno College.
She married the love of her life, Bob O’Connell, on June 24, 1972, at St. Thomas. She was a teacher for 25 years, both in Menomonee Falls and Waterford. She was also a charter member of the Waterford Lioness club.
She loved arts and crafts, cooking, baking and reading, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and taking care of her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Rochester; her children, Steve (Meg), Whitefish Bay, Karen, Waukesha, Tom (Alison), Wind Lake; grandchildren, Greta and Liza; brother, Rick (Cindy) Seidel; nephew, Tim (Jess) Seidel, and niece, Jill Seidel.
A memorial gathering is Thursday, Oct. 8, from 4-6 p.m., with services at 6 p.m., at St. Thomas Catholic Church, 305 S. First St., Waterford. There will be a private family burial at St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery. Mealy funeral Home, Waterford, is serving the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Waterford Lions Camp or Waterford Public Library.
