RITA A. SCHRICKER

Easter Lily      Rita A. Schricker, 93, Burlington, died Nov. 16, 2015, at Pine Brook Pointe. She was born in Muscoda on Dec. 27, 1921, to the late Peter J. and Margaret A. (Munz) Bremmer. She spent her early life on the family farm in Richland County, and she graduated from St. John’s Catholic High School.

On Feb. 12, 1945, in Muscoda, she married Raymond John Schricker. Following marriage they made their home in Boaz and Muscoda before moving to Kenosha County. They lived in the Burlington area for 38 years. Ray preceded her in death on Sept. 25, 1996.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. Alphonsus Church. She enjoyed doing childcare, scrapbooking and reading to residents at Mount Carmel Nursing Home.

Survivors include her children, Donovan (Ann) Schricker, Burlington, Robert (Catherine) Schricker, Franklin, Tenn., Mary (William) Ostwald, Homer, Alaska; grandchildren, Adam (Emily) Schricker, Aaron Schricker, Holly (Christopher) Strauss, Heidi Schricker, Molly (Brandon) Keinath and Sadie Ostwald; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

She was further preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Schricker; daughter, Suzan Schricker; sister, Delores (Carl) Schneider, and brother, Albert (Renora) Bremmer.

Memorials are suggested to St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.

Mass of Christian Burial for Rita will be celebrated Friday, Nov. 20, at noon at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church with the Rev. Terry Langley presiding. Burial will follow in St. Alphonsus Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends is Thursday, Nov. 19, from 5-7:30 p.m., at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, 625 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington, and on Friday, Nov. 20, from 10:30-11:45 a.m., at the church.
