CARTER A. VOGT

Easter Lily      Carter A. Vogt, 82, Caledonia, died Jan. 18, 2016, at Aurora Medical Center-Kenosha.

He was born in Burlington on March 9, 1933, to the late Allen H. and Emma L. (Wienke) Vogt. He was a lifetime resident of the Burlington area where he graduated from Burlington High School before attending MSOE.

He married Nancy L. Greenwald on Oct. 14, 1980, at St. John’s Lutheran Church. They made their home in Burlington where they raised their family.

He worked as an electrical repairman for 30 plus years at Sears, Roebuck & Co. He enjoyed doing woodworking projects, anything involving electronics, decorating for Christmas and roller-skating.

Survivors include his wife; children, Dawn (Peter) Koenig, Caledonia, Craig (Kerry) Greenwald, Elkhorn; grandchildren, Kyle Koenig, Aleah Yanke, Emma Greenwald, Abigale Greenwald; sister, Judi Vogt-Lyons; nieces, Nicole Schultz and Stephanie Mace.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha and Aurora Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion, and his dear friend, Gary Hennig for his love and support during this time.

Services for Carter are Saturday, Jan. 23, at 5 p.m., at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, 625 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington, with Chaplain Larry Williams officiating. Visitation for family and friends is at the funeral home on Jan. 23, beginning at 3 p.m.
