KATHLEEN MIDDLETON

Easter Lily     Kathleen Middleton, 56, Burlington, passed on to eternal life surrounded by her loving family on Feb. 8, 2016, in her home. She was born Oct. 20, 1959, to William and Teresa Toman. She spent her early life in Tichigan and spent her adult life in the Burlington area, graduating from Burlington High School.

She married Thomas Middleton on March 28, 1981. She was employed for over 20 years with the Burlington Area School District, most recently at Lyons Elementary School as a library aide. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was known as a kind and caring person who always put others needs before her own. Her love for her family and friends was second only to her love for Jesus. Her humble faith is an inspiration to others. Her generous spirit, humor, and thoughtfulness will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 34 years; children, Amy (Justin) Fiegel, Sara (Ty) Kolff, Sam (Libby) Middleton; grandchildren, Reyna, Westin, Ruby, Kiley, Reese; sisters, Cindy (Bill) Umnus, Laurie Wright, Sue (Bill) Stukenberg; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother; her brother, James ‘Toby’ Toman; and brother-in-law, Bill Wright.

Services will be held at Community United Methodist Church on Saturday, Feb. 13. Visitation is at 12:30 p.m., followed by a 2 p.m., service and a reception with light refreshments. Integrity Funeral Services, Waterford, is serving the family.

Memorials are appreciated and can be made out to Aurora VNA Hospice, Lakeland Humane Society, the new Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic, or her family to help carry out Kathy’s wishes.
