MEGAN R. BOCK

Easter Lily      Megan Rae Bock, 23, Waterford, was unexpectedly carried to paradise on the night of Feb. 4, 2016.

She was born on March 22, 1992, in Aurora, Colo., to Wayne and Rita Bock.

She attended K-12 in Waterford, during which time she happily tested her parent’s patience with her two older siblings out of the house. She then followed her dreams of making it into the fashion industry and for a short time studying cosmetology at the Aveda Institute for Beauty & Wellness in Milwaukee. Shortly after, she got a taste of southern living when she followed her love stationed in Abilene, Texas. There she served at the finest sports restaurant chain the town had to offer as she continued to chase her dreams. Megan returned to Waterford later where she quickly decided Lake Geneva provided a better view. In the coming years she had plans to pursue a new dream and go back to school.

If you could name anyone who was 100 percent themselves, Megan would be at the top of your list. She was always known for her flawless eyebrows, impeccable makeup application and tasteful sense of fashion. She was never afraid to be herself, she affirmatively spoke her mind, and she always fought for her friends. Megan will forever be remembered for being quirky, sassy and completely honest (whether you liked it or not!). Little did she know her positivity and spirit radiated to everyone she met.

Survivors include her mother and father; two older sisters, Katie Raebel and Lindsey Bock; grandmother; two nieces; her ‘brudder-in-law,’ and a wonderful network of extended family, friends, and her cat Gladys.

No one could write this obituary better than she could, but since she didn’t quite plan ahead, we feel obligated to share some of her favorite quotes that express the vibrant, fun-loving, and downright sassy beauty that she was.

“She was one of the rare ones, so effortlessly herself, and the world loved her for it.” Atticus

“A woman who cuts her hair, is about to change her life” Coco Chanel

“Comfort me with lipstick for I am sick of love.” Kat Von D

“Everyone understands my laundry method. It’s simple. If it’s clean, it’s on the floor. If it’s dirty, it’s on the floor over there.” Unknown

“Almost 7 billion people on the planet and I can only tolerate around 10 at the most.” Unknown

“Naughty can be nice” (Dove chocolate wrapper)

“Everyone is having babies and I’m over here like, look at these 500 pictures of my cat.”

“She’s mad but she’s magic. There’s no lie in her fire.” Charles Bukowski

“She always had that about her, that look of otherness, of eyes that see things much too far, and of thoughts that wander off the edge of the world.”

“She was delightfully chaotic; a beautiful mess. Loving her is a splendid adventure.” Steve Maraboli

“Love her but leave her wild” Atticus

“So I close my eyes to old ends and open my heart to new beginnings.” Nick Frederickson

And finally, for all the ladies reading this, we leave you with a beauty tip from Megan to accompany the photo attached. “This was my pinup girl inspired Halloween 2013 makeup look. I forgot the color of the Cover Girl lip stain but, I definitely recommend their double-ended lip stain products. Tip: let the stain dry on your lips before finishing with the moisture stick. It will last FOREVER.”

A memorial service celebrating Megan’s life will be held Friday, Feb. 12, at Community United Methodist Church, 455 S. Jefferson St., Waterford. Open visitation will be from 3-6 p.m., followed by service and fellowship where the family invites you to join them for a light reception. Attendance is welcomed and encouraged by all who knew her and the family openly accepts attire with a little “Megan-Flair.”
