Just east of Burlington High School, off Brever Road, lies the Burlington Conservation Club, which hosts events for the Burlington Trap Shooting team.

The Demons held their Burlington Invitational last weekend, as more than 700 shooters participated from schools across the state, including Waterford Union High School. Athletes range in age from 10 to high school seniors, boys and girls are on the same team and the team is funded completely without the WIAA, or Wisconsin high school governing body.

Team members sell concessions and create fundraisers to help pay for equipment, which can be pricy.

Burlington won first place as a team, and Myles Walker and Jarod Hahn won overall individual awards. Waterford placed third overall.
