Breakfast honoring law enforcement set for Sunday at Cooper School

A breakfast honoring law enforcement will be held Sunday starting at 9 a.m. at Cooper Elementary School, 249 Conkey St., in Burlington.

The event is sponsored by Grace Church, which in the past has honored teachers, local government leaders, medical professionals, firefighters and local EMTs. Sunday’s biscuit brunch event will be held in the Cooper cafeteria, with a special service honoring local law enforcement at 10 a.m. in the school’s gymnasium. The guest speaker will be George Papachristou, a retired City of Milwaukee police officer, who tragically had to use deadly force in the line of duty. Papachristou is certified as a Law Enforcement Chaplain and Private Detective in the State of Wisconsin.

All police officers, sheriff deputies, state troopers, dispatchers and support staff are invited to attend, along with their families. For more information, call the Grace Church office at (262) 763-3021 or e-mail Susan Riddle at [email protected].
