ROBERT E. ROLLINS

Easter Lily      Robert E. ‘Bob’ Rollins, 82, Burlington, died May 20, 2016, surrounded by his family. He was born in Watertown, on Jan. 22, 1934, to the late Clarence and Lorraine (Schwartz) Rollins. He spent his early life in Milwaukee where he graduated from high school. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1955.

In 1955 he married Betsy Lou Reeves. Following marriage they made their home in Milwaukee where they raised their family. Betsy preceded him in death on June 29, 1989. In 1991 Bob moved to Burlington.

He worked as a pressman for Moebius Printing. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and the Wood Carvers of America. He loved doing woodworking projects, especially carving birds. He made all the crosses in the Christian Learning Center of Our Savior and was an active member in the church’s senior group.

Survivors include his daughters, Susan (Russell) Krystowiak, Debra (Robert) Krueger; grandchildren, Robert Krystowiak, Michelle Krystowiak, Amanda (David) Deephouse, Matthew Krystowiak, Dustin (Katelin) Krystowiak, David (Emily) Krystowiak; great-grandchildren, Matthias, Katelynn, Jordan, Jonathan, Elijah, Micah, Abigail, Ace and Ezra; a sister-in-law, Loraine Rollins; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

He was further preceded in death by his daughter, Carol Krystowiak, son-in-law, Dale Krystowiak, and brother, John Rollins.

In lieu of flowers memorials to Our Savior Lutheran Church would be appreciated.

The family would like to thank the caring staff at the Veterans Home in Union Grove and the staff at Burlington Hospital for all their care and compassion.

Services are Tuesday, May 24, at 6 p.m., at Our Savior Lutheran Church with the Rev. Rob Bolling officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be at the church on May 24, from 3-5:45 p.m. Burial will be private. Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory, Burlington, is serving the family.
