For the first time since 2010, both the Burlington Catholic Central and Burlington High School baseball teams will play in WIAA sectionals.

The Hilltoppers play in a Division 4 sectional today at noon at Johnson Creek High School. The third-seeded Toppers smashed No. 2 Barneveld, 12-0, June 1.

At 4 p.m. today at Carthage College in Kenosha, the Burlington Demons will be the highest seed, a No. 3, in the four-team Division 1 sectional, and will face Racine Horlick, a team that beat Burlington 6-1 in the regular season.

Both teams must win their games in order to advance to sectional finals, which will take place at approximately 5 p.m. in Johnson Creek and 7 p.m. in Kenosha.

Burlington and Catholic Central have a shot to duplicate the 2005 spring season, when both teams made it to the WIAA state baseball tournament at Fox Cities Stadium near Appleton.
