Robert J. Lile, 73, Elkhorn, died June 7, 2016, at Lifecare Hospital of Wisconsin in Pewaukee.
He was born Jan. 10, 1943, in Milwaukee, to the late Robert W. and Helen Lucille (Kronberger) Lile. He was a graduate of Burlington High School. During his working career he worked at several different grocery stores as a produce manager.
He was an avid baseball fan, especially the St. Louis Cardinals. He played baseball as pitcher for the Burlington Merchants Baseball League and is in their Hall of Fame.
Survivors include his children, Robert R. Lile, Janesville, Jodi (William) Bechtel, Clarksville, Tenn., Tiffanie Lile, Elkhorn; granddaughters, Amanda Lyn Barker and Katelyn Alexandra Bechtel; brothers, Bruce (Sharon) Lile, Burlington, and Richard (Jean) Lile, Elkhorn; other relatives and friends.
He was further preceded in death by his wife of 15 years, Stephanie; and two brothers, Donald and Jack Lile.
