Multiple injuries in June 4 crash

There were no fatalities in a multiple-motorcycle crash June 4 in the Town of Waterford.

According to Waterford Police Chief Tom Ditscheit, it was a chain-reaction crash, where one vehicle stopped and several motorcycles then collided.

Eight people were injured, with seven being transported to area hospitals.

According to the police report from the Waterford department, the first motorcycle struck the second, which drove the second into an SUV.

The second motorcycle then careened into the intersection of Highway 83 and J, hitting two other motorcycles.

Two other motorcycles behind the initial accident tried to avoid the accident, “laying down” their cycles and striking the pavement.
