FLORENCE L. ERICKSON

Easter Lily      Florence L. Erickson, 93, Burlington, died peacefully on June 24, 2016, at her son’s home in Burlington. She was born in Wausau on May 9, 1923, to the late Julius and Bertha (Seidler) Kramer. She spent her early life in Wausau where she graduated from Wausau High School.

On Oct. 30, 1948, in Wausau, she married LeRoy ‘Red’ Erickson. Following marriage they lived in Wausau, before moving to Burlington in 1951 where they raised their family. He preceded her in death on July 29, 1997.

Most of Florence’s early years of marriage were spent in the home caring for their two sons. She was a room mother, volunteering at Waller School. After her youngest son, Jeff, went to high school, she went to work at NEL Frequency Controls, Inc., retiring after 25 years. She always enjoyed spending time with her kids, grandkids and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Cross Lutheran Church and loved gardening, watching sports, especially the Packers and watching her favorite TV show, Jeopardy.

Survivors include her sons, Jim (Sue) Erickson and Jeff (Bonnie) Erickson; grandchildren, Jamie (Brian) Gobel, Nick Erickson, Luke Erickson, John (Andrea) Anderson, Andrew Anderson, Janelle Erickson, Julie Erickson; great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Jenna, Johnny, Owen and Henry; brother-in-law, Neil Erickson; nephew, Michael (Pam) Kramer.

She was further preceded in death by her brother, Norman Kramer.

Services were June 29, at Cross Lutheran Church. Burial was private. Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory, Burlington, served the family.
