A 56-year-old Cudahy man died Friday morning in Burlington after colliding with a commercial truck.
According to a press release from the Racine County Sheriff’s Department, the Racine County Communications Center received multiple 911 calls at about 10:20 a.m. Friday for a crash involving a tractor trailer and a motorcycle on the Burlington Bypass at the intersection of Highway 83 and Pine Street.
Witnesses that included an off-duty nurse and a paramedic performed CPR at the scene on the motorcycle driver, but were unsuccessful. An initial investigation showed that the traffic signals were working properly and that the commercial motor vehicle driver failed to yield the right of way to the motorcycle driver.
The investigation is ongoing, no names have been released, and no citations have been issued, according to sheriff’s officials.
