LORAINE M. SENNOTT

Easter Lily      Loraine M. Sennott, 104, died peacefully Sept. 25, 2016, at her home. She was born Sept. 20, 1912, to the late Robert and Louisa (Ketterhagen) Zabler in Burlington. She received early education at St. Mary’s Grade School and graduated from St. Mary’s High School, now Catholic Central, in 1931.

She married Richard J. Sennott Aug. 8, 1935, at St. Mary’s Church. He preceded her in death on Oct. 30, 1990.

They always resided in Burlington and she was a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception St. Mary’s Catholic Church. In earlier days she was active in the Christian Mothers Society, Band Boosters, bingo, and the hot lunch program. She enjoyed her status as a homemaker. She took pleasure working in her flowerbeds, and all the other aspects of making a home. Family was always a priority.

Survivors include her son, Ronald (Patricia) Sennott, son-in-law, Erwin ‘Bud’ Muellenbach; grandchildren, Jean Muellenbach, Julie (David) Schultz, Jeff (Connie) Muellenbach, Jon (Ann) Muellenbach, Cindy (Joel) Kresken, Tyson, Alexander, Nicholas Sennott; great-grandchildren, Brianna Muellenbach, Kyle (Lexis), Cole, Caleb and Tristin Kresken, Joshua, Reid, and Ayden Muellenbach, Cassandra and Abigail Sennott; great-great-granddaughter, Naomi Kresken.

She was further preceded in death by her daughter, Suzanne Muellenbach in 2004, her sister, Sister Ruthmary Zabler, S.S.N.D., Elm Grove, in 2006, and her brother, George Zabler in 1980.

Sincerest thanks to Aurora Visiting Nurse Association staff and caregivers, especially Beth Derks, Tammy Beardsley, Sandy Popp, Christina Muschlewski, and Jutta Rupe for their loving care during the last year of Loraine’s life, and to Julie and Dave Schultz, and Bud Muellenbach who made it possible for Loraine to live out her life in her childhood home.

Visitation is Wednesday, Oct. 5, 9:30-11 a.m., in the chapel at Immaculate Conception St. Mary Church, 108 McHenry St., Burlington. The Rev. James Volkert will preside at the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Burlington. Family and friends are invited to a luncheon in Heim Hall at the parish following burial.

Memorials in Loraine’s name are appreciated to St. Mary’s Grade School or Catholic Central High School, Burlington.
