KEVIN M. GERHARZ

Easter Lily      Kevin Mark Gerharz, 62, Waterford, died unexpectedly at Waukesha Memorial Hospital and ‘was called to fish on the big private lake in the sky’ Oct. 10, 2016. He was born to the late Urban and Patricia (Barley) Gerharz on Aug. 23, 1954, while in the military based in Honolulu. After returning to the mainland he graduated from high school in Lemont, Ill.

He moved to Waukesha where he met the love of his life, Teri Stoll, right next door to his home and they began their relationship before moving to Waterford in 1995.

He owned and operated his business, Signature Auto Stripes and Accessories, from 1988 to 1994 when he retired the business. This allowed him the time to do the things he loved, fishing, music, riding his motorcycle and most of all sitting in his extra-wide recliner.

On July 4, 2007, he married Teri in Las Vegas. He was a loving and caring husband, son, brother, uncle and friend to many and will be missed beyond words.

Survivors include his loving wife; sisters, Diana Ruettiger, Eileen (John) Prendergast, Tracy (Edward) Pietrzyk; brothers, Glen (Amanda) Gerharz and Cullen O’Mara; nieces, Emma, Claire, Aubrey, Kailey and Madison; nephews, Eddie James and Bryant; aunt, Karen (David) Garvey; cousins, Timothy and David Garvey, Phillip, Susan, Charlie, Andrew and Lizzy Bebber; other relatives and friends.

He was further preceded in death by his grandparents, Urban and Marian; an aunt, Marilyn Bebber; uncles, Ralph Barley and Robert Barley.

A Memorial Gathering is Monday, Oct. 17, from 9-10:45 a.m., at Mealy Funeral Home, 225 W. Main St., Waterford, with services starting at 11 a.m. In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy Kevin’s family would appreciate memorials to the Gerharz family to be distributed according to Kevin’s wishes.
