Women arrested for prostitution at village residence

Two women were arrested in Union Grove last week after the Racine County Sheriff’s Department raided what they suspect to be a brothel.

According to a press release from the Sheriff’s Office, both Adena Sparks, and Eugenia Nance were taken into custody Sunday following an undercover operation.

The statement said the sheriff’s department was made aware of the suspected prostitution operation in the Village of Union Grove in late September, and at least two individuals were involved.

The operation was allegedly being run out of a local residence. Based on the initial complaint, investigators identified two suspects and the residence. Undercover investigators went there Sunday posing as potential customers.

The investigation is ongoing, but both Sparks and Nance were still being held at the Racine County Jail as of Tuesday night.

According to the Racine County Inmate Locator, Sparks was being held on a $5,450 cash bond, with charges pending for prostitution, keeping a place of prostitution, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Nance’s bash bond was set at $250 for a single charge of prostitution.
