DENNIS L. ‘TONY’ PRICE

Easter Lily      Dennis L. ‘Tony’ Price, 77, died Oct. 16, 2016, at his home. He was born in International Falls, Minn., on Oct. 21, 1938, the twelfth of 13 children, to the late William and Jane (Jensen) Price. He spent his early life in International Falls where he graduated from high school. He then attended Bemidji State University where he was a Small School All-American football player and earned a Masters Degree in Education.

On Aug. 20, 1960, in Bemidji, he married Evelyn Smith. Following marriage they lived in Warroad, Minn., and Lake Geneva before making Burlington their home in 1965.

Tony worked in the Burlington School System as a math teacher. He was a coach for football, track and tennis, winning Conference Championships in all three. He retired in 1996. He was a member of Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ. He found joy in all aspects of life, especially time spent at ‘the log cabin’ (which he built) at Battle Lake, Minn., with his children and grandchildren, playing games, fishing, music and dancing.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years; children, Kurt (Jean) Price, East Troy, Lisa McPartlin, Arlington Heights, Ill., Jane (Art) Larson, Fontana, Jennifer (Nick) Veith, Lake Geneva, Ted (Amanda) Chisum-Price, Wister, Okla.; grandchildren, Kevin and Jorie McPartlin, Hope Ballington, Spencer Price, Danielle Loth, Viola, Lydia and Addie Larson, Emma and McKinley Veith, Wyatt and McCrae Chisum-Price; great-grandchildren, Sloane and Liam Ballington; siblings, Gene (Darlene) Price, Lois Tillisch, Keith (Connie) Price, Bill (Val) Price and Spencer (Bonnie); Price; many nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

He was further preceded in death by his sisters, Pat, Ada and Eileen and brothers, Dick, Lloyd, Larry and Jack.

Memorial contributions may be made to Plymouth Congregational Church.

The family would like to thank Dr. Kwon at Mayo Clinic and the staff at Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic and Memorial Hospital of Burlington for their wonderful care and compassion.

Per Tony’s request, no services will be held. Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory, Burlington, served the family.
