MARY LOU SCHNEIKER

Easter Lily      Mary Lou Schneiker, 83, Waterford, formerly Glendale, died peacefully on Oct. 15, 2016. She was born on March 31, 1933, to the late Edward and Eva Ring (Payne) Johnson in Duluth, Minn. She later moved to Milwaukee to attend nursing school and was a 1955 graduate of the Milwaukee School of Nursing.

On May 12, 1956 she married John Schneiker at St. Emerics Roman Catholic Church in Milwaukee. She retired from St. Michael’s Hospital after 32 years of service as a Registered OB Nurse.

She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Waterford and a former member Christ Memorial Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. She enjoyed being with family and volunteering in the community, including her church. She will be greatly missed by friends and family.

Survivors include her children, Scott (Laurie) Schneiker, Susan (Dennis) Skalla, Kerri Schneiker and companion Cheri Kordes; grandchildren, Ryan, Shawn, Nicole, Andrea and Kelli Schneiker, Steve Skalla, and Tracey Burghduff; seven great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Hilda Schneiker, Elizabeth and Joe Lazar, and Craig Lamp; other relatives and friends.

She was further preceded in death by her son, Kelli Schneiker, and brother, Darryl Johnson and one sister-in-law, Christine Kubasiak.

A visitation is Monday, Oct. 24, from 4-6 p.m., with services starting at 6 p.m., at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 145 S. Sixth St., Waterford. There will be a graveside service held Tuesday, Oct. 25, at Wisconsin Memorial Park, 13235 W. Capital Drive, Brookfield. If you are attending, meet in the green section of parking lot at 10:45 a.m. Mealy Funeral Home, Waterford, is serving the family.

In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy, the family would appreciate memorials to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
