EDITH J. LANDRY

Easter Lily      Edith J. Landry, 85, Burlington, died Dec. 5, 2016, at Arbor View Community. She was born Aug. 19, 1931, in Shorewood, to the late Carroll and Dorothy (Dings) Bruce. She spent her early life in Shorewood where she graduated from Shorewood High School.

On Sept. 15, 1951, she married Howard Raymond Landry at Unity Lutheran Church, Milwaukee. Following marriage they made their home in Milwaukee before moving to Burlington 26 years ago. He preceded her in death on June 12, 2000.

She worked at AC Delco as an inspector and as a receptionist with Children’s Service Society. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and was a majority member of Job’s Daughters. In her free time she enjoyed quilting and scrapbooking. Edith was a kind, tender-hearted person and was loved by all who knew her.

Survivors include her children, Jill (Robert) Martinez, Kyle, Texas, Bruce (Karen) Landry, Waukesha, Kristie (William) Korducki, Burlington; grandchildren, Robert (Barbara) Martinez, Nicole Martinez, Casey (Celeste) Martinez, Eian Martinez, Kyle Landry, Erik Landry, Matthew Korducki, Jessica Korducki and Sarah Korducki; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Martinez, Estreya Martinez and Jaxson Martinez; her brother, Tony (Marilyn) Merline.

She was further preceded in death by her great-grandson, Casey Jr.; brother, Douglas Bruce, and sister, Carol (Robert) Landry.

Memorials may be made to Peace Lutheran Church.

The family would like to thank the staff at Arbor View and the nurses with Kindred Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion.

A memorial service is Wednesday, Dec. 28, at 7 p.m., at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, 625 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington, with the Rev. Dan Vojta officiating. Family and friends may visit with the family on Dec. 28, at the funeral home from 4 p.m., until the time of the service. Burial will be private
